Pharmacist Prescriber \| Halewell Clinic \| Hybrid/Remote \| £30 an Hour

Halewell Clinic is a private online pharmacy providing safe, clinically\-led prescribing and supply to patients across the UK. We're looking for a Pharmacist Independent Prescriber on a sessional/contract basis to deliver high\-quality remote prescribing, with a strong focus on doing it safely and to the highest regulatory standard.

This is a role for someone who takes clinical governance seriously, not a volume tick\-box operation. You'll prescribe within a robust safeguarding framework, and we expect and support you in refusing or referring where a supply can't be made safely.

What you'll do

• Carry out remote clinical consultations and make prescribing decisions for private patients across the UK


• Prescribe within your scope of competence, working to UK national prescribing and stewardship guidance and MHRA safety alerts


• Independently verify patient information rather than relying on questionnaires alone, including contacting patients' GPs where appropriate


• Prescribe weight\-management medicines (including GLP\-1 treatments) to the required safeguards — independent verification of weight, height and BMI, GP contact and consent, and confirmed monitoring


• Keep clear, comprehensive clinical records justifying each decision


• Identify and appropriately handle inappropriate requests, safeguarding concerns, and vulnerable patients


• Work with the Superintendent Pharmacist on audit and continuous improvement

Essential

• GPhC\-registered pharmacist with a current Independent Prescriber qualification (annotated on the register)


• Confident prescribing remotely, or a clear understanding of safe remote prescribing practice


• Sound knowledge of GPhC standards, safeguarding, and information governance


• Meticulous record\-keeping and a genuinely safety\-first mindset

Desirable

• Experience in an online/distance\-selling pharmacy


• Experience prescribing weight\-management/GLP\-1 medications within a governed framework


• Familiarity with remote identity verification and clinical safety systems

Contract \& sessions

• Sessional/contract basis £30 Per Hour
