PGA Golf Professional & Operations Manager
The Role
We are seeking a PGA Accredited Golf Professional with a minimum of four years' business management experience to take ownership of our golf operations, clubhouse retail offering, and professional services.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing the club shop, delivering outstanding service to members and visitors, growing coaching and custom fitting revenues, and leading a small team to achieve operational and commercial objectives.
This role requires a hands\-on leader who is equally comfortable delivering a lesson, managing stock performance, developing business plans, and building strong relationships with members and guests.
Key ResponsibilitiesGolf Operations
- Deliver a high\-quality PGA coaching programme for members and visitors.
- Develop and expand junior, ladies', beginner, and academy golf initiatives.
- Organise golf events, coaching clinics, and member engagement activities.
- Provide custom fitting services and equipment advice.
- Manage all aspects of the club shop operation.
- Develop and implement a retail strategy to maximise sales and profitability.
- Manage stock purchasing, merchandising, pricing, and supplier relationships.
- Monitor financial performance and prepare regular business reports.
- Identify and deliver new revenue\-generating opportunities.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a small team of staff and volunteers.
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained at all times.
- Develop training plans and support colleague development.
- Build positive relationships with members, visitors, sponsors, and stakeholders.
- Act as an ambassador for Grangemouth Golf Club.
- Support membership growth initiatives and club promotional activities.
- Fully qualified PGA Professional.
- Minimum 4 years' experience managing a business, retail operation, golf facility, or commercial department.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Experience managing and developing people.
- Proven ability to increase revenue and drive business performance.
- Excellent communication and relationship\-building skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.
- Customer\-focused with a proactive and professional approach.
- Experience operating a golf retail business.
- Custom fitting qualifications and experience.
- Experience managing golf events and competitions.
- Digital marketing and social media knowledge.
- Trackman or similar launch monitor experience.
