The Role:
As a Personal Tax Manager, you’ll play a key role within a high-performing tax team. You’ll take ownership of a portfolio of private clients, including HNWIs, business owners, directors, and partnerships, offering high-quality compliance and advisory services. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys autonomy, thrives on building client relationships, and wants to work in a forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse personal tax client portfolio, overseeing annual compliance and delivering timely, accurate returns.
- Provide tailored advice on personal tax planning, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, residence and domicile issues.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients, building trusted long-term relationships.
- Review work prepared by junior staff, offering guidance, mentoring, and support.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and keep clients updated with legislative changes.
- Work collaboratively with other departments including accounts, audit, and corporate tax.
- CTA and/or ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven experience managing a personal tax portfolio within practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK personal taxation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive, client-focused approach with attention to detail.
