Early Morning Personal Care Assistant Assistant
Sutton, Dublin 13
Full\-time or Part\-time, regular weekly hours
I’m a wheelchair user (spinal cord injury, male, 40\) looking for a reliable Personal Assistant to join a small existing team.
This is a one\-to\-one role working directly with me in my own home, rather than travelling between different clients.
- Regular weekday morning shifts, Monday to Friday
- Start 6:50am
- Generally finished by around 11:00am
- Approx. €107–€120 gross per morning shift, depending on pay scale
- Proper paid employment, not cash
- Ideal for someone who likes an early start and wants most of the day free
- Duties include personal care, dressing, bowel and bladder care, transfers, and positioning
- Meal preparation, laundry, light household tasks and helping with exercise/equipment
- Some previous hands\-on care experience preferred
- Experience with spinal cord injury is helpful but not essential
- Full training on my particular routine can be provided
- Full driving licence required
- Must be comfortable around dogs
- Looking for someone reliable, sensible, confident and easy to get along with
- You work with the same person each shift, rather than moving between different clients
- Opportunities may also arise for additional hours, longer days and travel
- Opportunities may arise to travel with me in Ireland and abroad
- Flights, accommodation, meals and travel expenses are covered
- Normal employment hours would be used where applicable
- Additional private pay arrangements would be agreed separately for the extra time, availability and responsibility involved
- Travel would only become an option once you are fully trained and we know we work well together. You would need to be confident managing all aspects of my care independently, including bowel care
- Travel is completely optional and would be discussed well in advance
