Personal Care Assistant

Job Overview
Unigol is looking for a Personal Assistant who is well traveled and easily adaptable to any situation. The position is working from an individuals home, taking them out and about and to visit church. This is a companionship position to work along 2 other Assistants. Must be a car driver.

Duties

• Assist to take client out to socialise and attend church


• Support with mobility and transfer activities, ensuring safety at all times


• Help with meal preparation if required


• Administer medication under the direction of the client and their family.


• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients


• Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems.


• Assist with light domestic tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment


• Drive clients to appointments or social activities when necessary


• Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is essential; training will be provided.


• Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients or running errands


• Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written


• Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate documentation of care activities


• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to show empathy and patience


• Ability to adapt to individual needs


• Reliable, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team

Pay: £13\.80\-£16\.10 per hour
