Personal Assistant/Support Worker
Responsibilities:
\- Provide support and assistance to individuals in their daily activities
\- Assist with meal preparation and ensure dietary needs are met
\- Administer medications according to prescribed instructions
\- Provide first aid and emergency care when necessary
\- Offer companionship and emotional support to individuals
\- Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
\- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
\- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
\- Document and report any changes in individuals' condition or behavior
Experience:
\- Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and ability to lift and move individuals as needed
\- Familiarity with dementia care and understanding of the unique needs of individuals with dementia
\- Experience working with individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities is a plus
\- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
