The Role This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a Children’s Homes Manager position, overseeing two 2-bed residential homes with a strong focus on relationships and therapeutic support.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership, ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance, and outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage two residential children’s homes, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment
- Register with Ofsted and drive Good to Outstanding inspection outcomes
- Embed therapeutic approaches to support children’s emotional wellbeing
- Oversee budget management and resource allocation
- Conduct quality assurance and audits, implementing continuous improvements
- Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing staff team
- Ensure full compliance with Children’s Homes Regulations 2015, Ofsted standards, and safeguarding frameworks
- Act as a strong advocate for children, ensuring their voice is central to service delivery
- Build effective partnerships with families, professionals, and stakeholders
- Track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- In-depth knowledge of:
- Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
- Children Act 2004
- Working Together to Safeguard Children (2023)
- Experience managing budgets, performance, and service delivery
- A passion for therapeutic care and improving outcomes for children
- (or willingness to achieve within 3 years)
- Minimum:
- 2 years’ recent experience in children’s residential care
- 1 year’s experience supervising or managing staff
