Onboarding Administrator
Are you highly organised, detail\-focused and confident working in a busy administrative environment? We are looking for an Onboarding Administrator to join our People Services team and play a key role in supporting new starters through a smooth, compliant and welcoming onboarding journey.

About the Role
Working closely with the Talent Acquisition and People Services Manager, Resourcers, HR colleagues and Learning and Development colleagues, you will provide an efficient and effective onboarding service for managers and new starters. You will be a first point of contact for candidates during the onboarding process and will coordinate key pre\-employment checks, documentation and communication throughout the onboarding lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the onboarding of new starters within agreed timescales.
- Create and maintain recruitment files and onboarding records accurately.
- Request, chase and verbally verify references in line with safer recruitment requirements.
- Support completion of gap checks, right to work checks, qualification checks and relevant registration checks.
- Initiate and monitor DBS checks and ensure appropriate disclosures are obtained.
- Keep candidates informed and supported throughout the onboarding process.
- Update onboarding pipelines and produce status updates for the Talent Acquisition and People Services Manager.
- Escalate delays, queries or concerns appropriately to the People Services team.
- Work collaboratively with People Partners, HR Coordinators, Recruitment and Learning and Development colleagues.
- Ensure all administration is completed accurately, confidentially and in line with GDPR requirements.
Hours: Full\-time, 37 hours per week
Working pattern: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am–5:00pm; Friday, 9:00am–4:30pm
About You
We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and able to manage competing priorities with confidence. You will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with candidates, managers and colleagues across the organisation.
You will need:
- Experience of working to deadlines in a busy office or administration environment.
- Experience of managing phone calls and enquiries from internal and external customers.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and spreadsheets.
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail when handling data and documents.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- A good understanding of confidentiality and GDPR requirements.
- The ability to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team.
- A good standard of education to GCSE level or equivalent.
