About The Role

People Services Manager

Salary: £55,000 per annum

Location: SBFM Head Office, Colton

Hours: 40 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced People Services Manager to join our People Team and lead our HR Administration function, ensuring we deliver an efficient, compliant and high\-quality service across the colleague lifecycle.

Reporting to the People Director, you will manage a team of three HR Administrators and take ownership of key People Services processes, systems and data. You will play an important role in improving our ways of working, strengthening data integrity and ensuring our People Services function can effectively support a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the response to first\-line HR queries, implementing and monitoring SLAs and identifying themes or areas for improvement.

  • Own Right to Work, DBS and Airside check compliance for existing employees, including renewals and TUPE transfers.

  • Develop and maintain a suite of HR policies, manager guides and template documents for use across the wider People Team.

  • Work with IT, Legal and the Data Protection Officer to coordinate documentation for DSAR requests and ensure deadlines are effectively managed.

  • Oversee administration throughout the colleague lifecycle, including starters, leavers and changes, working closely with Payroll.

  • Own and develop People systems, ensuring GDPR and legal compliance, ease of use, scalability and strong data integrity.

  • Continually identify and implement improvements to People Services processes and ways of working.

  • Work with Payroll on benefits, reward and recognition.

  • Develop and implement a job evaluation, benchmarking and grading process and matrix.

  • Own the management, quality and integrity of HR data, including analysis and exit interview information.

  • Lead and develop the HR Administration team, embedding SBFM's values and culture.
About You

You will have strong HR experience, with a good understanding of generalist HR and experience providing support and guidance within a fast\-paced commercial environment.

Experience managing a small team would be advantageous, along with:

  • Strong knowledge of employment law, including Employment Tribunals and TUPE.

  • A good understanding of HR policies and procedures and the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence working with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills, with the ability to provide pragmatic solutions and organise processes effectively.

  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly when managing HR data, systems and compliance.

  • The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

  • The ability to thrive in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.

  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider People Team.

  • CIPD qualification is desirable.
