People Manager

Duties

• Lead and manage the hiring of new staff for both office and on\-site roles


• Working with subcontractors and managing their performance


• Arranging apprenticeships with local colleges


• Co\-ordinating staff training and keeping records up to date


• Develop and implement strategies aligned with company objectives to attract, retain, and develop top talent


• Supervise onboarding, training programs, performance evaluations, and employee engagement initiatives


• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels through presentations, reports, and updates on HR metrics and initiatives


• Arranging company events and training programmes

Requirements

• Experience in recruitment either internally or externally is preferred but not necessary. Demonstration of working well with people is necessary.


• Demonstrated confidence in conducting interviews both on the telephone and face to face


• Strong understanding of human resources best practices including employee relations, compliance, and talent development


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively


• Ability to lead projects independently while collaborating effectively with the team
