This is a unique opportunity to help shape the culture, ambitions and values of the Belsteads Group . We are looking for an experienced People \& Culture Lead who is passionate about creating a workplace where people feel respected, supported and able to thrive, enabling our teams to provide outstanding care for children with complex needs.

Part time up to 32 hours pw \- £45k\+( pro rata)

Company Overview

The Belsteads group is situated on the outskirts of Chelmsford, set in peaceful 11 acre grounds. We have 3 x children's homes supporting vulnerable children with a range of learning disabilities \& complex needs. The welfare of our children is central to everything we do.

Summary

This is a vital role that focuses on fostering a positive, kind and caring environment for staff and children alike.

Promoting a healthy, supportive workplace culture, ensuring professional standards are maintained, addressing concerns at an early stage and providing HR guidance across The Belsteads Group.

The role will act as the central point for all workplace concerns and help develop a culture where staff feel safe, respected and supported.

· Lead the Professional Conduct and Workplace Concerns framework.

· Receive and triage concerns raised by staff.

· Facilitate early resolution of workplace issues.

· Support mediation between colleagues where appropriate.

· Identify emerging cultural or team concerns.

· Monitor trends and recurring issues.

· Promote the “See It. Raise It. Sort It.” culture.

· Deliver professional conduct training.

Employee Relations

· Manage grievances.

· Support disciplinary investigations.

· Support absence management.

· Provide advice to managers.

· Support performance management processes.

· Conduct welfare meetings.

· Support return\-to\-work meetings.

Compliance

· Maintain HR records on internal systems

· Ensure compliance with employment legislation.

· Monitor mandatory training compliance.

· Support Ofsted requirements.

· Support safeguarding\-related employment matters.

· Maintain HR policies and procedures.

Staff Wellbeing

· Promote staff wellbeing initiatives.

· Conduct staff surveys.

· Support employee assistance programmes.

· Identify wellbeing risks.

· Support managers with staff welfare concerns.

Culture Development

· Champion organisational values.

· Support leadership teams.

· Deliver culture workshops.

· Facilitate team\-building initiatives.

· Promote positive communication across the organisation

We are looking for someone who has a good understanding of HR practices and equally importantly the ability and experience to lead and support our kind and caring workplace culture. This role will be based onsite in Chelmsford and is part time up to 32hrs pw.
