We’re looking for an experienced and proactive People \& Culture Advisor to join our People \& Culture team at an exciting time of growth and development.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident People professional who enjoys providing practical advice, supporting managers and employees, and finding positive solutions to day\-to\-day people challenges.

Based onsite in Coventry, you’ll be an important part of the People \& Culture team, providing responsive, high\-quality advice and support across a broad range of employee relations and people matters.

About the Role

As People \& Culture Advisor, you’ll provide trusted, practical guidance to managers and employees throughout the employment lifecycle.

This is a varied, hands\-on role where no two days will be the same. You’ll manage your own employee relations casework, advise managers on People policies and processes, support absence and performance management, and contribute to wider People \& Culture initiatives.

You’ll work closely with colleagues across the People \& Culture team to ensure managers receive consistent, commercially considered and legally compliant advice, while helping us create a positive employee experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing day\-to\-day People advice and guidance to managers and employees

  • Managing a varied caseload of employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance cases

  • Coaching and supporting managers through informal and formal People processes

  • Advising on the interpretation and application of People policies, procedures and employment legislation

  • Supporting sickness absence and wellbeing cases, including occupational health referrals where appropriate

  • Preparing correspondence and documentation relating to employee relations cases and People processes

  • Supporting organisational change and consultation processes

  • Working collaboratively with the wider People \& Culture team to provide a consistent and high\-quality service

  • Maintaining accurate employee records and ensuring appropriate confidentiality and data protection standards

  • Identifying opportunities to improve People processes, policies and ways of working

  • Supporting employee engagement, retention, wellbeing and other People \& Culture initiatives

  • Contributing to wider People \& Culture projects as required
What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a confident People professional who combines sound HR knowledge with excellent communication and relationship\-building skills.

You’ll bring:

  • Previous experience in a People Advisor, HR Advisor or similar generalist HR role

  • Good practical experience of managing employee relations casework

  • A sound working knowledge of UK employment legislation and HR best practice

  • Confidence advising and coaching managers through People issues

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships

  • Excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities

  • A proactive, pragmatic and solutions\-focused approach

  • Good judgement and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately

  • Strong attention to detail and written communication skills

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification, working towards Level 5, or equivalent relevant experience
