This role requires regular travel and an on\-site presence across our homes and services in the West Midlands and Suffolk. Building strong relationships through regular on\-site presence is essential to the success of this role, enabling you to understand local challenges, coach leaders, and provide timely, practical support.
Repsonsibilities
Business Partnering
- Act as the primary People contact for assigned services.
- Own and lead employee relations cases ensuring timely and high\-quality outcomes with support from key stakeholders, the People Coordinator \& Head of People \& Culture this may include DBS and NMC referrals.
- Hold the extended management team accountable for People policy compliance.
- Undertake projects relevant to company needs
- Deliver training to managers on effectively managing sensitive employee matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance concerns, absence, and safeguarding
- Take accountability for organisational planning including reporting and risk management.
- Lead workforce meetings and ensure actions are delivered.
- Ensure offers \& contracts are issued and returned within designated SLA and alongside Recruitment \& Onboarding function
- Maintain accurate documentation and dashboards in line with companies and Head of People \& Culture’s needs
- Ensure that absence management, family led leave, succession, retention, attrition and more are considered and use the data to drive decisions
- Review and maintain, starter, change and leaver processes
- Drive engagement and retention initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders on continuous improvements in engagement
- Support driving engagement and follow up through yearly engagement survey and ad hoc pulse surveys
- Ensure all benefits are being well used and communicated to colleagues
- Ensure compliance with CQC, prioritising CQC inspections, employment law, UKVI, and GDPR.
- Maintain accurate systems, employee records and steer importance of this into People team
- Support the Vetting Coordinator with workload management and ensure vetting tasks are prioritised in line with procedures.
- Support external audits and inspections, ensuring workforce documentation is robust
- Support all stakeholders in the People team, with a drive for all workload being supported through team and SLAs

Essential
- GCSEs (or equivalent).
- Experience in a People/HR Advisor or similar HR role.
- Strong employee relations experience.
- Good knowledge of UK employment law.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across the West Midlands and Suffolk.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
- UKVI/right to work experience.
- Experience in the health or social care sector.
Pay: £32,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
