We’re looking for a Payroll Manager for a company in Stockholm. Start is ASAP, 6 months limited contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite in Stockholm.
Daily tasks
- Ensure accurate, compliant and timely end-to-end payroll delivery within a large and complex Swedish payroll environment.
- Lead, support and set priorities for the payroll team, ensuring operational stability and clear ownership.
- Monitor payroll quality, controls, risks and service performance, taking action where issues arise.
- Drive process improvements, digitalisation and automation to reduce manual work and strengthen efficiency.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, IT, Rewards, People Services and external providers on payroll-related matters.
- Translate operational needs into clear priorities for payroll systems, integrations and longer-term development.
- Extensive hands-on knowledge of Swedish end-to-end payroll within a large or complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of Swedish payroll legislation, compliance, controls, reporting and the annual payroll cycle.
- Swedish language a must.
- Experience managing payroll for multiple employee groups and collective agreements.
- Strong understanding of payroll systems, integrations, data flows, troubleshooting and external provider management.
- Experience of payroll transformation, process development, digitalisation or system-related change.
- Experience with SAP and HRM-related payroll flows is highly relevant.
- Confidence using payroll data and reporting to identify risks, support decision-making and drive improvements.
- Senior Payroll Manager or equivalent leadership-level experience within a large and complex Swedish organisation.
- Proven experience leading experienced payroll specialists through operational complexity, change and improvement.
- Able to balance strategic direction with hands-on operational judgement and decisive issue resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to stabilise payroll delivery while building clear structures, governance, processes and longer-term development plans.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust and align payroll priorities across senior stakeholders and specialist functions.
- Structured and pragmatic leadership style, with the ability to prioritise business-critical activities and create clarity in a changing environment
This is a full-time consultant position in Stockholm through Incluso. Start is ASAP, 6 months limited contract to begin with. This role is 100% onsite in Stockholm.
