About the role
Are you looking to start a career in payroll and administration? We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is eager to learn and develop within a supportive payroll team.
As a Payroll Team Administrator, you'll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day administration of our payroll processes across weekly & monthly payrolls. No previous payroll experience is required, we'll provide training and support to help you build your knowledge and develop your career in payroll.
Working closely with our Payroll Team and People Team, you'll gain valuable experience in payroll administration, employee data management, and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, has strong attention to detail, and is keen to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
Initial 6 month FTC and hybrid working pattern with 3 days in our modern offices in Bloomsbury.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining employee payroll records and updating payroll information in Excel.
- Support the Payroll Team with processing payroll-related documentation and administrative tasks.
- Help maintain accurate and secure payroll files and records.
- Assist in preparing payroll reports and spreadsheets.
- Respond to basic payroll and employee queries, referring more complex issues to senior team members.
- Support payroll reconciliations and data checks as required.
- Learn and follow payroll procedures, data protection requirements, and company policies.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the payroll function.
Previous payroll experience is not required. Experience in administration, customer service, finance, or office-based roles would be beneficial but is not essential.
- A willingness to learn and develop a career in payroll.
- Good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
- An interest in working with data, processes, and systems.
- Whilst we work in a hybrid way, with collaboration being one of our values, we'd expect you to regularly be in our Bloomsbury office, at least three days per week.
