I'm looking for a Payroll Administrator to join a growing team and play a key part in delivering accurate, timely payroll services to a varied portfolio of clients. You’ll be trusted with end-to-end payroll responsibilities, supported by experienced colleagues and encouraged to develop both technically and professionally.
What you’ll be doing
In this varied and hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing and processing weekly, fortnightly and monthly payrolls using dedicated payroll software
- Calculating income tax, National Insurance, pensions and other statutory deductions accurately
- Managing HMRC RTI submissions, pension processing and auto-enrolment duties
- Handling CIS submissions and supporting payroll-related administration
- Liaising with HMRC and responding confidently to payroll queries from clients and colleagues
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client payroll records
- Auditing payroll data to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Supporting year-end payroll processes and flagging any issues to the Payroll Manager
- Completing daily timesheets and contributing to continuous process improvement
You don’t need to tick every box — we’re more interested in your attitude and potential.
- CIPP qualificationor a minimum of 2 years’ payroll experience
- Experience using payroll software (e.g. Sage 50)
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
- A proactive, team-focused approach with excellent attention to detail
- Confident communication skills and a professional client-focused mindset
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to the wider team
