Payroll Accountant

<p><strong>Department: </strong>Finance</p>
<p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p>
<p>Squarepoint has a newly created role for an experienced payroll accountant to join their growing management company accounting team. </p>
<ul>
<li>Review payroll across numerous countries to verify correct base, bonus and severance payouts</li>
<li>Reconcile payroll files to the JE provided by the payroll vendor</li>
<li>Reconcile payroll liability account to the bank and to the vendors’ books</li>
<li>Participate in all monthly accounting activities including month-end closing, A/R, A/P, account reconciliations, allocations schedules and intercompany transactions</li>
<li>Coordinate with third party tax and auditor professionals in completing yearly tax returns and audits, both under US GAAP and under local reporting standards</li>
<li>Participate in various ad-hoc requests from senior management and other departments</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>At least 5 years of hands-on experience in payroll accounting, payroll reconciliation or within a payroll service provider</li>
<li>Exceptional analytical &amp; communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to multitask &amp; strong attention to detail</li>
<li>Highly organized, self-motivated &amp; team-oriented</li>
<li>Strong excel knowledge and ability to analyse data using PIVOTs, VLOOKUPs and sumifs</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice to have</strong><strong>:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Workday Financials knowledge/experience</li>
<li>Knowledge of ADP as payroll vendor and UK payroll specifics</li>
