Job Description
As a Pattern Maker at ARKET, you will play a key role in translating design vision into well\-fitting, high\-quality garments. Working closely with designers and buyers, you will ensure that fit, silhouette, and construction meet both aesthetic and technical expectations, always with the customer in mind.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Drive fittings by leading sessions, evaluating samples, and making necessary pattern adjustments to secure the right fit and silhouette.
- Develop patterns for new styles as well as update existing ones to improve fit and consistency across the assortment.
- Ensure accurate grading across all sizes to maintain consistent fit and comfort.
- Work closely with designers to interpret design concepts—often from limited briefs—and translate them into technical solutions.
- Collaborate with buyers, production teams, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout development.
- Handle daily follow\-ups with production and suppliers, clarifying construction details and resolving technical questions.
- Prioritize workload between fittings, pattern creation, and ongoing product updates in a fast\-moving environment.
You will be part of a cross\-functional product team, working closely with a Senior Designer and Senior Buyer.
In addition, you will collaborate with production offices, suppliers, and occasionally a seamstress when developing prototypes.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with a passion for product and fit. You are comfortable working both independently and together with others, and you enjoy being part of a creative and fast\-paced environment.
We believe you have:
- Experience working as a Pattern Maker within the fashion industry (not entry level).
- Strong knowledge of grading, garment construction, and pattern development.
- Experience working with different product types, preferably within woven garments.
- Hands\-on experience with PLM systems and pattern\-making tools
- Ability to collaborate closely with designers and translate creative ideas into technical solutions.
- The ability to prioritize, stay structured, and deliver high\-quality work in an operational role.
- Collaborative and enjoy working closely with others.
- Self\-driven and comfortable working independently when needed.
- Creative, curious, and interested in developing new silhouettes and fits.
- Focused and able to work in detail\-heavy tasks over longer periods.
- Proactive and willing to contribute with your own ideas in the product development process.
This is a full\-time temporary position based at our Head Office in Stockholm for 1 year.
