Patient Coordinator Fixed Term Contract

We’re now looking for a Patient Coordinator with a passion for customer care, exceptional interpersonal skills and a high level of patient focus to join our welcoming team at our office in Orpington.
Fixed term contract for 7 months.
Part\-time post of 15 hours per week \- (2 days TBC).
Core Responsibilities:
Working closely with the existing team in accordance with the London ENT Surgeons standard office procedures to:
- Manage efficient appointment systems ensuring that all clinical data is available for each clinic.
- Manage patient correspondence including patient clinic letters and surgical booking forms.
- Organise follow\-up investigations relating to clinic appointments, complete relevant forms and liaise with patients and relevant departments.
- Invoice insurance companies, patients and solicitors. Take payments and some other accounts duties as required.
- Liaise with Anaesthetists for anaesthetic work\-up and pre\-assessment investigations for surgical treatment.
- Maintain an accurate database of patients.
- Deal with patients enquires in an efficient, polite and professional manner.
- File correspondence, deal with post (Internal, external/incoming/outgoing), and general office duties.
- Maintain a good standard of tidiness within the department.
- Ensure that all telephones are covered to meet the needs of the business.
- Perform any additional ad\-hoc duties that are required by this role to ensure the office runs efficiently and is covered during opening hours.
- Inform the Practice Manager of any concerns you may have.
