This role is not just about answering phones.

It’s about being the reason someone feels safe walking through our door.

We believe people don’t change their health because of information alone — they change because they feel understood, supported, and confident they’re in the right place.

That experience starts at the front desk.

Why this role exists

For over 20 years, we’ve helped people in Bury move better, live with less pain, and regain confidence in their bodies.

Our practitioners provide exceptional care — but the patient experience begins long before treatment starts.

We’re looking for someone who can lead our front\-of\-house team with warmth, professionalism, and high standards. Someone who can create a calm, organised environment while helping patients feel genuinely cared for.

What this role involves

This is a people\-first leadership role at the centre of a busy private healthcare centre.

You will:

  • Be the first voice and face our patients encounter — in person and on the phone

  • Lead and support our reception team day\-to\-day

  • Help recruit, train, and onboard new reception team members

  • Create and manage reception rotas

  • Ensure high standards of patient experience and customer service are consistently maintained

  • Confidently explain care plans, pricing, and next steps (full training provided)

  • Manage bookings, systems, and daily flow so the centre runs smoothly

  • Handle patient concerns calmly and professionally

  • Support local talks, events, fairs, and community outreach activities

  • Help people feel confident saying “yes” to care that could genuinely improve their quality of life
This role suits someone who enjoys responsibility, takes pride in standards, and communicates confidently and compassionately with people from all walks of life.

Who this role is for

You might be a great fit if you’re thinking:

  • “I enjoy leading people and helping a team work well together.”

  • “I’m organised, calm, and good under pressure.”

  • “I can be warm and empathetic while still being confident and professional.”

  • “I enjoy speaking with people and making them feel comfortable.”

  • “I like being part of a team with high standards and a strong sense of purpose.”
You do not need previous chiropractic or healthcare experience.

You do need:

  • emotional intelligence,

  • reliability,

  • professionalism,

  • confidence communicating with people,

  • and strong organisational skills.
Previous experience in reception, hospitality, healthcare, customer service, team leadership, or client\-facing roles would be highly beneficial.

Hours

  • 30\+ hours per week

  • Early mornings, evenings, and alternate Saturdays required
Centre opening hours:
  • Monday–Friday: 7:30am–7:15pm

  • Saturday: 7:30am–2:00pm
As the leader of the front\-of\-house team, we’re looking for someone who takes ownership and pride in maintaining high standards. While your contracted hours will typically be around 30 hours per week, there will occasionally be times where additional time is needed to complete tasks, support the team, solve problems, or ensure the centre is running as it should.

We believe leadership means taking responsibility, being proactive, and helping the team finish the day well — not simply watching the clock.

What you’ll receive in return

  • Full training and ongoing support

  • A supportive and experienced team environment

  • Clear systems and expectations

  • Meaningful work that genuinely impacts people’s lives

  • Variety, responsibility, and room to grow

  • A role where patients regularly thank you for the difference you make
One final question

If someone walked into our centre nervous, in pain, and unsure — would you know how to help them feel confident they’re in the right place?

If the answer is yes — or you’re eager to learn — we’d love to hear from you.
