Passenger Assistant

Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Passenger Assistant to join our team and ensure the safe, comfortable, and respectful transportation of passengers, including vulnerable populations such as Childrens, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring special care. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting passengers during transit, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for all passengers while maintaining safety standards throughout every journey.

Responsibilities

• Assist passengers with boarding and alighting from vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times


• Provide support for passengers with mobility challenges, including helping with wheelchairs or walking aids


• Ensure the safe securing of mobility aids and personal belongings during transit


• Communicate clearly with passengers regarding routes, stops, and safety instructions


• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene within the vehicle to promote a healthy environment


• Report any incidents or concerns promptly to supervisors and complete necessary documentation


• Support passengers with special needs by providing compassionate care tailored to individual requirements

Requirements

• Prior experience in assisted living, patient care, or senior care is highly desirable


• Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer’s care, or hospice care is a plus


• Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling equipment


• Valid driving license with a clean driving record; experience in driving passenger vehicles preferred


• First aid certification and CPR training are advantageous


• Strong communication skills and a friendly, empathetic demeanor


• Ability to handle behavior management situations with patience and professionalism


• Willingness to undergo background checks and training related to passenger safety and care
