Part-Time Support Worker Role (7+ Hours/Week, Sunday Shift)

We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and reliable person to join our small team, assisting a kind and intelligent autistic adult in his daily life. This rewarding role starts with a regular 7\-hour Sunday shift, with additional hours available.

About the Role
You will provide personalised support to help our client live more independently and participate in activities he enjoys. You will be working directly for the client.

Duties include:

• Assisting with household tasks such as cleaning and organizing.


• Accompanying and supporting at appointments and social events.


• Joining for 2–3 hour countryside walks.


• Helping with shopping and trying new takeaways and foods.


• Supporting with decision\-making and planning outings or activities.


• Occasionally assisting with transport to church or Bible study groups.

About Our Client
Our client is a bright individual who enjoys long walks, trying new foods, and attending church or Bible study events. He has a cat, so candidates should be comfortable with pets and have no cat allergies. He faces some challenges with daily activities, social situations, and going out independently — your support will make a meaningful difference in his life.

Who We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate is:

• Friendly and chatty, with the ability to gently prompt and support decision\-making.


• Organized, proactive, and able to plan activities.


• Physically fit and happy to join long countryside walks.


• Open\-minded and adaptable.


• A driver with a valid UK driving licence and access to their own car (essential).


• In possession of a valid PVG Scheme membership (or willing to obtain one).

This position requires attentiveness, common sense, reliability, honesty, good communication with the care team, empathy, and consistent self\-reporting.

Previous experience working with vulnerable people — including caring for vulnerable family members — is welcome but not essential. A positive attitude and genuine interest in helping others are most important. This role is ideal for students or anyone seeking part\-time work.

Hours \& Pay

• One regular shift per week (7 hours), currently on Sundays.


• Additional shifts available, including holiday cover for our client’s other Personal Assistant (up to 3 shifts per week).


• Pay: £14\.50 per hour.
