Part Time Finance Controller

Juice Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly successful and established business based in central Bath. We’re looking for an experienced Part-Time Financial Controller to join their team on a 2-day-per-week, office-based basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys being hands-on, taking ownership and providing valuable financial insight to support the wider business.

DAY TO DAY

• Preparing monthly management accounts and providing clear financial insight


• Taking ownership of the month-end process and ensuring deadlines are met


• Preparing and managing VAT returns


• Overseeing import tax and related financial requirements


• Managing payroll processes and ensuring everything is accurate and completed on time


• Completing regular reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records


• Working closely with senior management


• Reviewing and improving financial processes and controls


• Ensuring the smooth and effective running of the finance function

• Previous experience within a Financial Controller, Management Accountant or similar senior finance position


• Strong technical accounting knowledge and solid month-end experience


• Experience with VAT, payroll and reconciliations


• Knowledge of import tax or international trading would be advantageous


• Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach


• Commercially aware, with the confidence to provide advice and challenge when required


• A hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently and take ownership


• Comfortable working within a fast-paced, premium brand environment


• ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or qualified by experience


• Be able to do 2 full days

• £48,000 salary pro rata


• 20% annual bonus


• 22 days' holiday pro rata


• 2 days per week, office-based in central Bath
