Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Part\-time Care Coordinator to join our team, providing essential support within a care home specialising in senior care. The ideal candidate will be organised, compassionate, and possess strong leadership and communication skills. The Care Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing care plans, supervising staff, and ensuring residents receive personalised and attentive care.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Coordinate daily activities and ensure the smooth operation of care services within the home
- Supervise and support care staff, promoting best practices and maintaining high standards of care
- Liaise with families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive resident support
- Organise staff rotas and monitor attendance to ensure adequate staffing levels at all times
- Assist with the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members
- Maintain accurate documentation related to resident care and staff supervision using IT systems
- Facilitate effective communication across all levels of the team to promote a positive working environment
- Drive organisational initiatives to enhance resident wellbeing and safety
- Previous supervising or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals
- Driving licence is essential for travel between different sites or appointments
- Experience in developing and managing care plans tailored to individual needs
- Proficiency in IT systems for documentation and communication purposes
- Knowledge of senior care regulations and best practices in elderly support services
- Organised with excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Compassionate approach with a genuine interest in enhancing the quality of life for older adults
