Your new role:
As a Packing Operative, you will support the smooth flow of customer orders through the warehouse. You will be responsible for removing totes containing completed orders from the order consolidator system and distributing them to packing benches, ensuring work continues efficiently without delays or equipment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove totes containing completed orders in a timely manner to prevent backlogs and machine jams
- Distribute completed orders to packing benches to ensure a steady workflow for packers
- Match and consolidate multi‑tote orders before delivering them to packing benches
- Report any non‑conformances or issues to the appropriate supervisor
- Maintain outfeed equipment, tidiness, and carry out departmental housekeeping duties as directed
- Support the removal of empty totes from despatch conveyors and load them onto empty tote conveyors where workload allows
- Load empty totes onto conveyors where build‑ups occur on the despatch floor
- Previous warehouse experience
- Good communication skills
- Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
- Knowledge of warehouse systems (e.g. SAP) is desirable
- Competitive Salary: Enjoy a starting salary of £27,101\.75 per annum / £13\.45 per hour, with the added potential to earn an annual bonus of up to 3% of your yearly pay.
