Order Management & Purchasing Manager
About the Role
Full time in the office \- Monday – Friday 09:00\-17:30
Based in Weston\-super\-Mare Industrial Estate (Gazelle Road)
We buy a wide and complex range of goods and services from a fairly small range of key suppliers across the globe. We are looking for an organised, diligent individual to help manage this process from start to finish.
The role is a manager level role, and the individual will report to our Head of Operations \- the successful individual will have two direct reports.
- Use our internal systems to place orders for goods required to fulfil outstanding sales orders
- Support with label design and spec creation for specific customer requirements
- Ensuring orders are checked before being placed, with consideration for the maximisation of margin where possible
- Track required and committed delivery dates, liaising frequently with suppliers to manage any changes and ensuring they keep to their commitments
- Having a clear understanding of supply chain and international shipping, enabling and assisting the team as needed
- Work in conjunction with the Sales Team to ensure that priorities are understood and customers are kept informed of progress of their orders
- Monitor certain key lines held in stock (with support of our Operations Team) and work with suppliers to manage forward orders
- Act as an internal contact for supplier relationships and help to resolve issues as needed, ensuring we receive a high level of service
- Hold meetings with suppliers to be aware of new products or other changes and help us communicate this inside the business. Sometimes this might include attending shows or expos.

- Familiar with Microsoft Software, in particular Outlook, Teams and Excel
- Literate in supply chain and international shipping is preferable but not a necessity
