Optical Assistant

We are a family run, independent practice based in central Grangemouth and are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our small team. The role involves providing excellent eye care services by supporting our Optometrists and assisting with various optical tasks.

Training will be provided but optical experience is desirable.

Duties:

• Reception; a friendly voice answering the phone, welcoming patients into the practice, diary management, cash handling and administrative tasks


• helping patients with spectacle frame selection, fitting and carrying out basic repairs and adjustments


• Supporting the Optometrist and carrying out visual field testing

Hours:

• Part\- time: 2 days (14\.5 hours) per week


• Includes every second Saturday (weekdays 9am\-5pm, Saturday 9am\-4pm).


• Closed Sundays

Starting Salary:

• £9764\.30 per annum. This will increase according to experience.

Holiday:

• 11\.6 days paid holiday per annum; 4 weeks (8 days) plus 3\.6 days bank holiday
