Ophthalmic Staff Nurse
- Deliver patient centred care to Ophthalmic patients in the Outpatients Department
- Assess, plan and implement patient care seeking guidance when appropriate and utilising OPD systems.
- Provide effective health education to patients and relatives.

Clinical responsibilities include performing specialised ophthalmic assessments, administering treatments, managing emergency situations, and maintaining infection control. The nurse will also be responsible for patient education, ensuring patients and carers understand care plans.
Operationally, the nurse will manage time, assist with patient admissions and discharges, and ensure the smooth functioning of the department. This includes managing stock and resources, participating in safety protocols, and handling incidents.
The position requires a commitment to learning and development, with an emphasis on attending training and engaging in team\-building initiatives.
