ENOUGH ABOUT US, WHAT'S THE ROLE?
We're expanding into new business models as part of a wider group, putting technology first to drive better solutions for our customers. Our small operations team punches well above its weight building internal tools, configuring CRM and telephony platforms, launching AI voice agents and using data to drive commercial decisions across the business.
We're looking for an Operations \& Systems Manager to work alongside the Head of Technical Operations, supporting project delivery and taking ownership of day\-to\-day system configuration, data work and process improvement. This is a hands\-on role for someone who enjoys learning new platforms quickly and solving problems with technology rather than paperwork.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Configuring and maintaining workflows, automations and data views within Enquiry Labs (our CRM), ConnexAI (telephony \& AI voice agents) and other internal platforms
- Supporting the build and iteration of internal tools and dashboards from scoping requirements through to testing and rollout across a stack that includes React, SQL and cloud hosting
- Building and maintaining automations that connect systems together (CRM to telephony, databases to reporting tools) reducing manual work and improving data accuracy
- Running data extracts, cleaning datasets and preparing analysis in Excel or Power BI to support commercial and operational decisions
- Helping design, launch and monitor outbound campaigns (diallers, AI agents, data lists) and reporting on performance
- Drafting process documentation, SOPs and training materials so the wider team can self\-serve on new systems
- Coordinating with external vendors and platform providers (e.g. CRM support, telephony partners) to resolve issues and implement changes
- Assisting with compliance\-adjacent tasks such as configuring screening flows, maintaining audit trails and supporting FCA submissions where needed
- Picking up ad\-hoc projects, cost tracking tools, commission models, reporting templates and running with them to completion
- Mentoring and developing junior team members and graduates, helping them build practical skills across the systems and tools the business relies on
Technical Skills
- Understanding of full\-stack project workflows, comfortable navigating projects that involve front\-end frameworks (React), databases (SQL), APIs and deployment
- Ability to build complex automations and integrations using platforms such as Zapier, Power Automate, Make, or similar, connecting systems together to eliminate manual work
- Strong working knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data cleaning) and comfortable handling large datasets
- Awareness of cybersecurity fundamentals, understanding of access control, data handling best practices and secure configuration of business systems.
- Experience working with at least one CRM, helpdesk, or business platform in a configuration/admin capacity (not just as an end user)
- Comfortable working with AI tools as part of daily workflows, using them to accelerate output, draft solutions and problem\-solve
- Highly proactive: you identify what needs doing and get on with it rather than waiting to be told
- Exceptional organisation: able to manage multiple concurrent projects, keep stakeholders updated and move work forward without constant direction
- Problem\-solving mindset: you see a broken process and want to fix it, not just flag it
- Clear communicator: able to translate technical detail into plain language for non\-technical colleagues
- Confident and self\-directed learner: pick up unfamiliar software platforms quickly without extensive training
- Excited by the pace and ambiguity of working on cutting\-edge fintech projects in a regulated environment, comfortable with things not being fully defined yet.
- Exposure to telephony or contact\-centre platforms (e.g. ConnexAI, Twilio, Five9, or similar)
- Experience with Power BI, Looker, or another BI/reporting tool
- Background in motor finance, insurance, or FCA\-regulated financial services
- Familiarity with version control (Git) or collaborative development workflows
This isn't a traditional admin or data\-entry position. We need someone who's comfortable being dropped into a platform they've never seen and figuring it out. Formal qualifications matter far less than attitude, curiosity, and the ability to get things done. If you've built something clever in a spreadsheet, automated a process that nobody asked you to, or taught yourself a tool because the manual was rubbish — we want to hear from you.
