Operations Supervisor

Key Responsibilities
Planning and Monitoring Warehouse Operations
- Preparing work schedules.
- Monitoring the execution of activities and adjusting schedules when necessary.
- Resolving urgent issues or escalating them to the appropriate person and report problems if necessary. E.g. machine, computer or procedure\-related issues.
- Coaching and training warehouse employees / personnel (on\-the\-job training).
- Communicating and explaining changes in work instructions.
- Evaluating and monitoring warehouse employees in consultation with the Warehouse Operations Manager.
- Conducting performance review meetings with warehouse employees.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations, environmental requirements, and other agreements.
- Planning weekly meetings to discuss operational topics, operational changes, and safety.
- Independently or collaboratively developing projects and reporting on them to the Warehouse Operations Manager.
- Creating engagement among warehouse employees to successfully integrate new projects.
- Monitoring and adjusting warehouse operations.
- Developing work procedures in cooperation with the Warehouse Capacity Planning Manager and communicating new working methods to employees.
- Preparing shuttle schedules in consultation with transport coordinators and communicating these schedules throughout the organization.
- Monitoring and maintaining quality standards, including outside office hours.
- Drafting procedures and instructions in accordance with quality guidelines.
- Graduate Degree, or equivalent through experience.
- Proven supervisory experience and/or leadership capabilities.
- Good communication skills in English, both written and orally.
- Proficient IT skills within the following applications: Microsoft Office Suite, WASS, DOH, Protime, Tripfeeder, etc.
- Quality knowledge: delivering products according to quality standards while ensuring the right quantity, place, time, and cost efficiency.
- Communicate purposefully and maintain close contact with colleagues, managers, and internal departments
- Have an ability to coach teams, delegate tasks, and monitor and evaluate employees.
- have proficient problem\-solving abilities and enjoy working with improvements to optimize processes.
This position will be located in Tongeren, Belgium on a major SKF site. You will report to the Warehouse Operations Manager.
Please note that this role involves rotating day shifts, with morning or afternoon schedules depending on the week.
