Operations Processing Supervisor

Job Summary
To ensure the smooth and efficient material processing and supervision of site activities. A hands on approach is required to ensure the safe and optimal operation of all plant, equipment and peoples well\-being, whilst delivering an excellent service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising various waste material processing activities ensuring compliance with all Safe Systems of Work, including risk assessments and method statements

  • Ensuring all processing operations carried out comply with all current HSQE legislation and company management systems and policies, whilst promoting safe working practices to minimise accidents and incidents

  • Ensuring productivity is maximised at all times, communicating any issues to management.

  • Completing inductions, activity briefings, toolbox talks and keeping records

  • Housekeeping to ensure that the facilities are kept clean, tidy and free of trip hazards and that the site remains secure during operations and at the end of shifts in line with the site operating plan.

  • Conducting inspections and maintaining records for all processing areas.

  • Ensuring plant inspections are completed on time and that all defects have been reported

Requirements
  • Ideally Experience in supervising waste management or industrial processing sites and plant operations

  • Knowledge and understanding of all relevant health and safety, environmental and planning regulations

  • Planning and organisation skills

  • Effective communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work under pressure

  • Ability to utilise a range of software including the MS office suite.

  • Flexible approach for daily requirements

Characteristics

Applicants must be of good sound health, physically fit to work in an industrial open facility.

Flexibility, Honesty, Reliability, and Punctuality a must, as we expect you to show, lead and influence a young team from the front.

Salary: £33,000 to £36,000 per year

Bonus : 10% of salary

Bonus Criteria: Will follow

Job Type: Full\-time

Pay: £33,000\.00 per year
