We're partnering with a purpose-led organisation seeking an experienced Head of Certification Operations to lead a key function responsible for delivering an exceptional certification experience for businesses and stakeholders.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and operational leader who enjoys improving processes, developing high-performing teams, and leading organisations through periods of transformation and growth.

As Head of Certification Operations, you'll oversee the end-to-end certification journey, ensuring operational excellence, customer satisfaction, effective resource planning, and continuous improvement. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll help shape future ways of working while driving performance and service quality across the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

  • Oversee certification operations, ensuring a smooth, consistent and high-quality customer experience.

  • Drive process improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies across the certification lifecycle.

  • Lead change programmes and support the implementation of new processes and standards.

  • Monitor KPIs, analyse performance data and provide insight to support decision-making.

  • Manage risks, resolve escalated issues and ensure service levels are maintained.

  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support strategic objectives.

About You

You'll be an experienced operational leader with a strong track record of delivering high-quality services and leading teams through change.

You'll bring:

  • Significant experience managing and developing teams.

  • Strong operational management and service delivery expertise.

  • Experience driving process improvement and organisational change.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

  • Strong project management capabilities.

  • Analytical skills with experience using data and performance metrics to drive improvements.

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a customer-focused approach.

Desirable Experience
  • Certification, accreditation, compliance, regulatory, membership or professional standards environments.

  • Transformation programmes.

  • Salesforce or similar CRM systems.

  • Customer service or customer operations leadership.
