The Lycée Français International Samuel Beckett is Dublin's only French international school, founded in 1967 and part of the global AEFE network (Agency for French Education Abroad). We operate on two sites in South Dublin, welcoming around 500 students — our nursery and primary school in Foxrock, and our secondary school at the Eurocampus in Clonskeagh, shared with our German partner school, St. Kilian's Deutsche Schule. Teaching is based on the official French curriculum, and our bilingual educational project attracts students of many nationalities
- Location: Foxrock \- Dublin 18 \& Clonskeagh – Dublin 14 (regular inter\-site travel)
- Reports to: Principal (Direction)
- Contract: Permanent (CID) — 50% (18\.75 hours/week)
- Languages: English C1 minimum \| French B2 minimum
- Start date: As soon as possible — structured handover with outgoing OM until end of September
Ensuring that the non\-teaching functions of the organisation on both the Foxrock and Clonskeagh campuses run efficiently, effectively and in compliance with relevant regulations. Working closely with the Principal, management team, Board of Management, staff, and external stakeholders, the Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day\-to\-day management of business and support services that enable high\-quality teaching and learning to take place.
Main Responsibilities
*A. Financial responsibilities (20% \- daily, monthly and yearly tasks)*
- Owns and manages operational budgets – sets yearly operational budgets, approves all purchase orders and invoices in line with those
- Bank signatory – approves all weekly payment runs, signs off monthly bank accounts reconciliation
- Line manager for Foxrock caretaker – help define priorities, set daily schedules
- Point of contact for Clonskeagh Facilities Manager – plan bigger work projects, check smaller maintenance work are carried out…
- Define, monitor and enforce supplier SLAs and KPIs: frequency, response time, service quality…
- Track mandatory certifications (fire, TUSLA…)
- Responsible for governance of and compliance to Purchasing Policies and Processes
- Line manager for Purchasing Officer
- Negotiate top tier contracts (insurance, maintenance, IT…)
- Staff on/off boarding: support HR Manager with on and off boarding of staff members: supply of IT equipment, login details, keys, access fob…
- IT support for teaching staff: resolve IT equipment/software issues
- Board of Management: oversee onboarding of new Board members: send documents, chase return, request to Embassy, set up email addresses and access
- Health \& Safety: Implement and monitor H\&S instructions as defined by the Principal
*Specific Experience*
- Experience in administrative coordination, contract management or general administration (2\+ years)
- Ability to manage external providers: SLA setting and monitoring, invoice validation, contractual relationship
- No technical expertise required — practical common sense and administrative rigor are sufficient
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks with rigor and method
- Strong interpersonal skills across diverse stakeholders (management, contractors, teaching staff)
- Autonomy and reactive approach to unexpected situations
- Discretion and confidentiality
- English C1 minimum \| French B2 minimum
