The Operations Manager will be part of the BELFOR management team and, as such, will have the responsibility for the management of specific services relating to restoration and reinstatement works The responsibility of the Operations Manager will also ensure the services are profitable. The Operations Manager will show customers how the BELFOR offering will meet their requirements by building confidence and persuading them that our services will best satisfy their needs in terms of quality, price and delivery, whilst at all times being fully compliant with all relevant legislation. Will also support the network performance manager with identifying new contractors to support our services, The operations manager will be proactive in managing all WIP and monthly income targets to ensure the required quality of work is achieved and safe working practices upheld. Above all, the position requires that the post holder is prepared to travel anywhere, normally in the UK, but further afield if required, working away for extended periods (within reason) quite possibly at very short notice. As part of the remuneration package, there will be a reward scheme for achieving/ exceeding the budgeted net profit figure. Assist with the delivery of profit for this business stream. The Operations Manager will guide the development of their teams, giving the necessary support to meet career path aspirations of all staff members. The Operations Manager will also promote teamwork across their South West regions, leading by example.

Duties:\-

  • Carry out regular reviews with the field teams to ensure all processes are followed and adhered to.

  • Provide a monthly report on your region.

  • Work alongside the CDM co\-ordinator to ensure complete compliance under CDM regs.

  • Attend customer reviews and audits where necessary

  • Build regional business opportunities and support sales team in client meetings

  • Daily review of WIP and job performance reports, with weekly calls and updates with your teams

  • Exceed monthly income targets

  • Validate scopes to sales and costs are correct and consistent with damage

  • Obtain authorisation for scopes including any variation orders.

  • Ensure consistency with scoping and support your contracts managers with development.

  • Develop and support scheduling of reactive and planned works

  • Complete tenders on a project by project basis to avoid project delays.

  • Manage program of works on large complex claims including start and finish dates.

  • Deliver projects on budget and on time with a prime focus on cost control

  • Assist with the development of the service offering ensuring we look to upsell when the opportunities arise

  • Undertake training on any software platforms to give a broader knowledge of claims management tools.

  • Development plans for the field teams to give a broader knowledge across all disciplines on all projects to increase efficiency and increase team spirit with clear progression routes further career paths

  • Undertake field surveys as and when required.

  • Ensure that all relevant information is shared and understood by the parties involved (including the instructing party/ customer, BELFOR personnel,temporary personnel and subcontractors). Respond to the changing needs of the customer amending all necessary documentation as appropriate.

  • Escalation point to support the management of any on site issues that may need resolving in a timely manner, in line with FCA guidelines.

  • Agree to accept, and then be personally responsible for (including the cleanliness and functioning) all issued equipment detailed on the equipment schedule.

  • Manage assets purchased and hired to the business to ensure productivity

  • Purchase equipment where needed to keep site functioning at all times.

  • Ensure that all necessary information is collected from the customer for total payment of all works.

  • Help support accounts team with aged debt

  • Ensure responsibilities specific to your role as detailed within BKH L006 Health Safety and Environment Policy are complied with.

  • Close out non\-compliance and audit issues raised on a monthly basis with a clear chain of guidance

  • Be part of the recruitment process making time for interviews and being flexible to candidates needs.

  • Take part in investigations and disciplinary action where required.

  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping throughout the regional teams and branches including equipment and vehicles

  • Responsible for the presentation, cleaning and maintenance of your Company vehicle.

  • Any other reasonable management request.
Pay: Up to £65,000\.00 per year
