Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee and manage our Christmas decorating business. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of our operations, driving performance improvements, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and a commitment to delivering high\-quality results. This position is open to someone who has the capacity to take on increased responsibilities within the business over time, specifically the aptitude and ambition to take on part or entire ownership of the business to enable the current owner to retire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement operational strategies that meet agreed goals and objectives.


• Manage daily operations to ensure efficiency and adherence to company policies.


• Manage schedules and resource allocation to optimise operational performance.


• Lead, mentor and develop a team of self\-employed staff to achieve operational excellence.


• Identify areas for improvement within processes and implement solutions to enhance productivity.


• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of activities.


• Prepare regular reports on operational performance metrics for internal review.


• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as industry standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in an operations management role or similar capacity.


• Strong leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal skills.


• Proven problem\-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.


• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.


• Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.


• Familiarity with budgeting and financial management principles.


• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage staff and clients at all levels.
