As we continue to expand, we’re looking to strengthen our team with the addition of a skilled and motivated Operations Lead.
The Role
As our Operations Lead, you will play a key role in overseeing daily operational activities while ensuring products, services, and processes meet company quality standards and regulatory requirements. This is a dynamic and hands\-on role that requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Reporting to the Operations and Quality Manager, you’ll be responsible for coordinating operational processes, supporting vessel movements, monitoring stock levels and ensuring operational targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Operations and Quality manager in day\-to\-day operational activities to ensure productivity and efficiency.
- Support operational planning and ensure efficient workflow management.
- Monitor operational performance and escalate issues where required.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with our tank storage provider.
- Coordinate incoming vessel operations, including scheduling, unloading, and communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor stock levels and support stock turn optimisation.
- Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and external contractors to ensure smooth operational execution.
- Maintain accurate operational records and documentation.
- Support compliance with industry regulations, FEMAS standards, and internal quality procedures.
- Provide cover and operational decision\-making support in the absence of the Operations and Quality Manager.
- Experience in an operational, logistics, manufacturing, or terminal environment
- Strong problem\-solving and decision\-making abilities as well as organisational and operational coordination skills
- Solid understanding of operational processes within a terminal or logistics environment.
- High attention to detail and strong commitment to accuracy
- Ability to prioritise workload and perform effectively under pressure
- Good IT proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
