As we expand Pageant Gaming Media Ltd is hiring an Operations \& HR Manager responsible for keeping the business running smoothly while owning all people\-related activity. This is a highly hands\-on role, suited to someone who enjoys variety and ensuring day\-to\-day operations are efficient and compliant, while creating a positive, well\-managed employee experience that supports growth.
Operations
- Own and manage day\-to\-day business operations end\-to\-end.
- Develop simple, scalable operational processes suitable for a growing team.
- Oversee office management, facilities, company travel and suppliers.
- Manage contracts, renewals and service providers.
- Support budgeting, cost control and basic financial administration.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, health \& safety and company policies.
- Act as a central point of coordination across teams.
- Support leadership with operational planning and problem\-solving.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle for a 35\-person workforce.
- Lead recruitment end\-to\-end (briefs, adverts, interviews, onboarding).
- Be the first point of contact for all HR queries and employee relations matters.
- Handle absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance processes fairly and consistently.
- Ensure HR policies are practical, compliant with UK employment law and fit for an SME.
- Manage payroll inputs, pension administration and benefits.
- Support managers with people\-management guidance and coaching.
- Drive engagement, wellbeing and retention initiatives appropriate to a small company.
Essential
- Experience in an Ops, HR, or combined Ops \& HR role (startup or SME).
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Comfortable being the "go\-to" person without a big support team.
- Highly organised, proactive and happy to roll your sleeves up.
- Excellent communication skills and good judgement.
- Trusted with confidential and sensitive information.
- CIPD Level 5 (or working towards / equivalent experience).
- Experience supporting a scaling business.
- Knowledge of health \& safety and basic finance/admin.
- Practical, adaptable and solution\-focused \- happy to "roll sleeves up".
- Happy working in a fast\-changing environment.
- Approachable, fair and people\-centred.
- Comfortable switching between strategy and hands\-on delivery.
- Commercially minded with a strong sense of ownership.
