An established and successful Irish manufacturing business is seeking an exceptional Operations Director to lead and develop its operations.

This is a broad and influential leadership role within a manufacturing operation employing approximately 40 people, with responsibility extending well beyond production.

The successful candidate will have responsibility across key operational functions including:

• Manufacturing \& production


• Production planning, scheduling and operational efficiency


• Quality and ISO systems


• Health \& Safety


• Maintenance, machinery, moulds and tooling


• Purchasing, suppliers and stores


• Transport and logistics


• HR, employee relations and team development


• Administration and operational systems


• IT


• Customer complaints


• Strategic development and continuous improvement


• Management reporting and operational controls


• Production budgets and Profit \& Loss responsibility

We are seeking a hands\-on, commercially aware manufacturing leader with the technical capability to understand the operation, the financial understanding to manage costs and profitability, and the leadership skills to develop people and performance.

Experience within plastic manufacturing, including knowledge of polymers/materials, machinery, moulds, tooling and production systems, would be particularly advantageous.
