Lead Operations for a Trusted, Growing Local Business
Hinckley Plumbing \& Heating Services Ltd is a well\-established and respected mechanical services company, proudly serving the local community and commercial clients for over 20 years.
We are looking for an experienced and driven Operations Director to help lead the next stage of our development. This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for the day\-to\-day operational performance of the business, team management, service delivery, and strategic growth support.

About the Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the Commercial Director, you will oversee operational delivery across our plumbing, heating, maintenance and project works divisions.
This role will suit an experienced operational leader from the building services, M\&E, plumbing \& heating, facilities management or construction sectors who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and delivering excellent customer outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the operational performance of the business.
- Pricing / estimating incoming enquiries both commercial and domestic.
- Oversee engineers, supervisors, scheduling and operational support teams
- Ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard
- Support project delivery across commercial and domestic sectors
- Monitor productivity, service levels and operational KPIs
- Work collaboratively with commercial and finance teams
- Develop and improve operational systems and processes
- Support recruitment, training and staff development
- Ensure compliance with Health \& Safety and industry standards
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors
- Assist with strategic planning and business growth initiatives
- Proven experience in an operational leadership role
- Proficiency in pricing / estimating both domestic and commercial enquiries.
- Strong people management and communication skills
- Experience within plumbing, heating, M\&E, construction or FM sectors preferred
- Commercial awareness and problem\-solving ability
- Organised, proactive and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Strong understanding of service delivery and operational planning
- Health \& Safety awareness and commitment to compliance
- A positive, hands\-on leadership approach
Essential Qualifications
- Current Domestic Gas Qualifications (ACS)
- Current Commercial Gas Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence
- LPG Qualifications
- Oil / OFTEC Qualifications
- Experience with renewable heating systems
- Health \& Safety qualifications such as IOSH or SMSTS
- Experience managing operational teams within plumbing, heating or M\&E sectors
The ideal candidate will be technically competent, commercially aware and capable of leading from the front. They will understand both reactive maintenance and project\-based delivery and be confident managing engineers, subcontractors, clients and operational performance across multiple workstreams.
