Operations & Business Development Manager
We are seeking a highly organised, commercially minded Operations \& Business Development Manager to become the Director's right hand person across our growing group of businesses.
This role is primarily operational, with responsibility for ensuring projects, staff, clients and opportunities move forward efficiently without requiring constant Director involvement.
You will act as the central coordination point between:
- Walden Way \& Company
- Walden Waves
- iCare Dental
- iCare Lab
Core Objective
Your primary objective is simple:
Remove operational bottlenecks and free up the Director's time.
You will be empowered to take ownership of tasks, coordinate teams and ensure that projects are completed on time and to a high standard.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Management (60%)
- Manage day\-to\-day operations across all businesses
- Coordinate staff and monitor workload
- Ensure tasks are completed on time
- Follow up outstanding actions with team members
- Monitor KPIs and productivity
- Maintain operational dashboards and reporting
- Improve internal systems and processes
- Manage CRM and workflow systems
- Assist with recruitment and onboarding
- Liaise with suppliers and contractors
- Ensure projects move forward without Director intervention
- Follow up all incoming enquiries
- Contact prospective clients
- Arrange meetings and consultations
- Prepare proposals and quotations
- Conduct cold calling campaigns
- Visit local businesses and introduce company services
- Build referral relationships
- Attend networking events and exhibitions
- Support client retention initiatives
- Coordinate activities with the Walden Waves marketing team
- Review marketing performance reports
- Monitor campaign delivery
- Approve content against agreed guidelines
- Assist with lead generation initiatives
- Identify marketing opportunities
- Create simple video content, reels and business updates
- Assist with photography and social content
- Participate in promotional campaigns
- Support brand consistency across all businesses
After 6 months:

- Leads consistently followed up
- Proposal turnaround within 24 hours
- Improved client onboarding process
- Patient enquiries actively managed
- Consultation follow\-ups implemented

- 3\+ years operational management experience
- Strong organisational skills

- Experience in professional services, healthcare or agency environment
- CRM experience

This role is effectively a future General Manager / Operations Director position. We are looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, solving problems, improving systems and helping businesses grow.
The right person will become a key member of the leadership team and play a significant role in the future expansion of the group.

Pay: £30,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
