We are looking for an organised and proactive Operations Assistant to support the smooth day\-to\-day running of our operations. This varied role combines administration, production planning, stock control, customer service and transport support. You will work closely with colleagues across the office and factory, helping to keep information, orders and documentation accurate and up to date.
Key responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely administrative support to the Operations Team and Operations Manager.
- Help prepare, maintain and update production plans, ensuring operational requirements are communicated clearly.
- Act as a point of contact for customers, providing professional updates on orders, deliveries and other operational matters.
- Maintain Bills of Materials, stock records, operational databases and filing systems.
- Prepare and issue production and transport documentation, including alarm labels and dispatch paperwork.
- Coordinate non\-tank orders from receipt through to completion, including customer communication, booking\-out procedures and associated records.
- Support stock movements, stock takes, inventory accuracy and related reporting.
- Photograph completed loads before dispatch to support quality and operational records.
- Respond to reception and gate enquiries and direct visitors, contractors and drivers appropriately.
- Issue, collect and maintain employee documentation in line with company procedures.
- Support effective communication between office\-based teams and factory personnel.
- Contribute to departmental projects, process improvements and other operational priorities as required.
You will be dependable, detail\-focused and comfortable managing a varied workload in a fast\-paced environment. You will communicate confidently with customers and colleagues and take a practical, flexible approach when priorities change.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a professional telephone manner.
- Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and spreadsheets, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- High attention to detail when handling orders, stock information, production data and transport documentation.
- Good problem\-solving skills and the ability to respond calmly and quickly to changing requirements.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to build positive working relationships across departments.
- A strong customer\-service focus, with honesty, reliability and a commitment to high\-quality work.
- Flexibility to support changing business needs and operational priorities.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing, transport, logistics or similar operational environment.
- Experience working with production plans, stock records, Bills of Materials or transport documentation.

Pay: From £27,000\.00 per year
