Operations Assistant Manager
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised and resilient Assistant Operations Manager to support our Operations Manager and installation teams. This is a fast\-paced, hands\-on role at the centre of the business, where priorities shift quickly and clear, direct communication is the norm. You will be working in a straight\-talking, trade\-driven environment alongside experienced installers and site teams.
This is not a purely administrative role. We are looking for someone who wants to become an operational leader within a growing business.
This role is best suited to someone who can handle pressure, take direct instruction, stay calm when things change, and earn respect through reliability, efficiency and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities
· Manage DBS (criminal record check) processes.
· Prepare and print installation job files.
· Act as first point of contact for customer queries and complaints.
· Support team leaders by coordinating deliveries and resolving on\-site issues.
· Liaise with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely service.
· Check in team leaders post\-installation and ensure all paperwork is complete.
· Coordinate and manage remedial works, including client liaison and scheduling.
· Manage REFRESH bookings and associated administration.
· Order materials, skips and installation supplies as directed.
· Order installer workwear and manage stock levels.
· Monitor hire equipment and ensure timely off\-hiring.
· Track and manage staff holidays and sickness.
· Oversee company vehicle compliance (MOT, servicing, tyres, mileage).
· Support insurance claims in collaboration with the Finance team.
· Manage fuel card distribution and reporting.
· Review suppliers and identify cost\-saving opportunities.
· Support implementation of purchase order systems and operational tools.
· Assist in tracking installation performance metrics.

· Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
· Able to prioritise, multitask and stay calm under pressure.
· Able to remain calm and professional when working with direct personalities and under significant operational pressure.
· Confident communicator with a direct, practical approach.
· Comfortable working in a fast\-paced, trade\-driven environment.
· Strong problem\-solving ability and proactive mindset.
· Emotionally intelligent with a positive, can\-do attitude.
· Able to take initiative and work independently.
· Good IT skills (Microsoft Office and general systems).
· Resilient, adaptable and not easily phased.
· Able to challenge constructively where appropriate rather than simply taking instructions.

Pay: £34,000\.00\-£39,000\.00 per year
