The role…
To provide an exceptional service to the internal customer, ensuring all required materials \& consumables are ordered and delivered as required to meet production requirements. Requests to be processed in an efficient \& timely manner, with accuracy being paramount

In this role, you will play an important part in ensuring the business has the materials, goods and services it needs to operate effectively and efficiently. You will make a direct impact by delivering a responsive and commercially focused purchasing service, ensuring requirements are met on time while achieving the best possible value for the business.

You will bring a proactive, organised and commercially minded approach to purchasing, with the ability to manage a varied workload and respond effectively to changing business requirements. You will be confident communicating with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers, building positive relationships while ensuring the best outcomes for the business.
You will have strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving, with the ability to evaluate options, negotiate effectively and identify opportunities to improve value and reduce costs. You will take ownership of your responsibilities, ensuring purchasing activities are completed accurately, efficiently and within agreed timescales.
We are looking for someone who is collaborative and willing to support others, while also having the confidence to challenge where appropriate and make recommendations based on sound commercial judgement. You will bring a continuous improvement mindset, looking for ways to develop processes, improve supplier relationships and add value across the organisation.
Most importantly, you will bring a positive, professional and customer\-focused attitude, understanding that effective purchasing is about more than simply placing orders. it is about supporting our people, production and the wider success of the business.
Skills \& Experience:
Essential
Minimum 1\-2 years in purchasing, procurement or buying role
Proficient in ERP/Purchasing systems, and Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills for supplier and internal stakeholder management
Ability to negotiate pricing and terms to achieve value for money
Excellent time management; able to prioritise and meet deadlines
High level of accuracy in order processing, data entry and contract record\-keeping
Able to compile and present basic spend and saving reports
Desirable
CIPS Level 3 (or working towards), or equivalent procurement qualification
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environment
