The Role

Reporting to the project manager, this is a hands\-on, field\-based position where no two days are the same. You’ll work on a mix of in\-house and onsite projects, from PC deployments to server installations and Office 365 migrations. It’s an ideal step up for someone ready to consider progressing from 2nd line into a broader and more senior role where you would be given more complex and demanding projects.

You would also respond to reactive onsite work, which the helpdesk has troubleshooting and needs assistance with. Most clients are based in and around Dorset and typically within a 1\.5\-hour commute from our Blandford office.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver responsive IT support and projects to business clients


• Lead onsite implementations and migrations


• Support other engineers and contribute to process improvements


• Configure and maintain Windows Server environments


• Support and implement M365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, conditional access policies, DLP, Azure AIP)


• Troubleshoot networking issues (LAN, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, Firewalls)


• Support hardware, software, and VoIP systems

• Experience supporting small/medium businesses within an MSP


• Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022,2025\)


• Hyper\-V and virtualised platforms


• Office 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, conditional access, Co\-Pilot,MFA)


• Networking: LAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Firewalls, VPNs, Wi\-Fi


• Windows 11


• Good knowledge of computer hardware


• General software support (Anti\-virus, backup tools)


• VoIP systems
