On-Call Overnight Veterinary Technician
<p><strong>Overnight Licensed Veterinary Tech - On Call</strong></p>
<p><strong>Salary:</strong> $40- $44 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.</p>
<p><strong data-start="0" data-end="21" data-is-only-node="">On-Call Schedule:</strong> Flexible weekday options, with shifts available either Monday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Friday.</p>
<p>Overnight coverage offers similar flexibility, with on-call shifts available Monday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Friday (or Monday–Friday if preferred). If called in, overnight shifts run from 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. You will only be contacted if coverage is needed, and a $50 on-call stipend will be provided for nights when you are not called in.</p>

<p><strong>Key Responsibilities: </strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.</li>
<li>Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.</li>
<li>Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates</li>
<li>Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.</li>
<li>Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.</li>
<li>Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification in New York State is required.</li>
<li>Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.</li>
<li>Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.</li>
<li>Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.</li>
