The Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for Project Engineers who is interested in working with the Offshore Delivery team to deliver key Offshore projects. Offshore delivery is critical to Ireland including the achievement of our renewable targets and to continuation of sustainable economic growth for the country.

The role involves the project management and project engineering of technically complex, large scale offshore projects – on\-time and within budget, adhering to established governance and controls. The role holders will work on projects across their entire life cycle – from project initiation, through construction, commissioning/user acceptance testing, go live and right up to project close/lessons learnt.

The Team

The Chief Transformation \& Technology Office (CTTO) is responsible for driving innovation, digital transformation, and strategic technology delivery across EirGrid. It plays a central role in enabling the organisation to meet its decarbonisation and infrastructure goals through the deployment of modern systems, data intelligence, and programme governance frameworks. The Offshore Phase 1 and Offshore Phase 2 teams sit within this office, ensuring alignment between technology strategy and offshore programme execution.

About you

Successful candidates will have:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent, typically with 8 years relevant experience with a holistic understanding of the power industry

  • Proven experience of managing a portfolio of largescale asset management projects – overseeing the delivery of complex solutions and an ability to drive successful outcomes

  • Passionate, engaging with a drive and enthusiasm to deliver on the company strategy with and through others

  • Excellent communicator, able to articulate technical concepts and analysis to non\-technical audiences and business leaders

  • Ability to coach and develop high performance capabilities in a changing and dynamic environment

  • Expertise in conceiving and introducing innovative ideas, solutions or new ways of doing things to solve business problems, collaborating with business experts along the way

  • Strong understanding of the requirements of stakeholders and industry for the transmission system and associated developments

  • Commercial awareness with strong vendor management skills.

  • Full drivers licence
