Role
We are recruiting for an Office \& Project Administrator to join our Milton Keynes office.
This is a varied role supporting the day\-to\-day running of the office and providing administrative and logistical support to our project teams. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and staff across the Milton Keynes office, helping to make sure that our teams have the information, equipment, vehicles and arrangements they need to deliver their work.
The role would suit an organised and practical person who enjoys a varied workload, is comfortable managing competing priorities and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
Key parts of your job will be:
- Providing general administrative support to the Milton Keynes office and project teams;
- Answering inbound calls, directing enquiries and taking messages;
- Monitoring and responding to company emails and ensuring queries are dealt with promptly;
- Supporting day\-to\-day office administration, including health and safety checks and records;
- Coordinating vehicle maintenance, servicing and associated records;
- Coordinating equipment maintenance and ensuring equipment is available when required;
- Supporting project logistics, including booking accommodation and arranging vehicle and plant hire;
- Liaising with suppliers, contractors and other external contacts as required;
- Dealing with customer and staff queries in a friendly and professional manner;
- Supporting the smooth operation of the Milton Keynes office and wider project teams; and
The role will involve working across a range of tasks, so the ability to prioritise and respond to changing requirements is important. Some requests will be time\-sensitive, particularly where they relate to active infrastructure projects and fieldwork teams.

· Good IT skills including Outlook and Microsoft Office.

· Personable outlook and able to fit in with a small, friendly, professional team.
· Ability to cope under the pressure of infrastructure requirements and strict, tight deadlines
Previous experience in archaeology is not essential. We are interested in people with good administration, organisation and communication skills who are keen to develop their experience in a busy operational environment.
