The role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Office Administrator to join our HR team on a 7\-month fixed term contract to provide effective administrative support to the HR team and across the wider firm.
Working as part of a friendly, dedicated team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to the HR function by providing administrative assistance across HR tasks relating to recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, training and development, employee relations, benefits and absence management.
In addition, you will support the team to ensure compliance with employment legislation, firm policies and regulatory requirements, and contribute to various organisational projects that fall under the remit of the Group as required.
This is an office\-based role, Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm (with an hour for lunch), and full training will be provided.
The candidate:
This role may suit a strong administrator or a recent graduate.
Our ideal candidate must have excellent attention to detail and understand the importance of 100% accuracy in what might appear to be a monotonous job.
We are looking for someone who is keen to learn with a can\-do attitude. You will have good organisational skills, strong interpersonal skills both written and oral and have experience using Microsoft Office applications.
Most importantly you must understand the need for confidentiality in this post.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date employee records ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and document retention timescales
- Assist with administrative tasks related to recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, including (but not limited to), posting job vacancies, scheduling interviews, preparing offer letters and contracts of employment, employee screening checks, induction packs and resignation acknowledgement letters.
- Help organise internal and external training sessions including tracking attendance and updating training records.
- Assist with the co\-ordination of interim and final probationary review meetings, ensuring paperwork is received and saved as appropriate.
- Support the HR team to ensure compliance with employment legislation, firm policies and regulatory requirements such as the annual practising certificate renewal and SLCC payment
- Respond to basic HR related queries from staff in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with administrative tasks relating to firm benefits, employee relations and absence management
- Arrange access to Westlaw \& Practical Law for new employees (where appropriate)
- Assist with compiling reports and metrics for HR analytics
- Support the HR team with HR–related initiatives and projects including the preparation of the monthly staff newsletter, employee engagement and wellbeing
- Provide support for regular, re\-occurring and ad\-hoc activity including other organisational projects which fall under the remit of the Director of HR and Support Services.
