Level 3 Nursery Practitioner
Job Purpose To provide high-quality care, learning, and development opportunities for children aged 0–5 years in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. The Level 3 Nursery Practitioner will support children's emotional, social, physical, and intellectual development in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
Key ResponsibilitiesChildcare and Development • Provide a safe, caring, and welcoming environment for all children.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress in line with EYFS requirements.
- Act as a key person for a group of children, building strong relationships with children and their families.
- Support children's personal, social, emotional, and educational development.
- Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all children at all times.
- Follow nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health and safety, and confidentiality.
- Report any concerns regarding children's welfare promptly and appropriately.
- Share information regarding children's development, achievements, and wellbeing.
- Support parents in promoting children's learning and development at home.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive and professional working environment.
- Support students, apprentices, and new staff members where required.
- Prepare and organise learning environments that are stimulating and inclusive.
- Promote equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of practice.
- Sound knowledge of the EYFS framework.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing outstanding childcare and education.
- Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
- Knowledge of SEND and inclusive practice.
- Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Reliable and professional.
- Enthusiastic and motivated.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Strong organisational skills.
