Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated Nursery Practitioners at Level 3 and Level 5 to join our childcare team. The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high\-quality care and early childhood education to children within a safe, nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills whilst working with children, supporting their development and learning. Candidates should possess a passion for childcare, strong communication skills, and relevant nursery experience.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, age\-appropriate activities that promote children's development across all areas of learning.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children at all times, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Support children's emotional and social development through positive interactions and behaviour management strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, attendance, and daily routines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for children, parents, and staff.
- Lead by example in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and professionalism within the nursery setting.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress, behaviour, and any concerns that may arise.
- Assist in the organisation of nursery activities, outings, and special events as required.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of nursery programmes in line with early childhood education frameworks.
- Proven experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong management and leadership capabilities to supervise staff and organise daily operations effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise confidently with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, safeguarding procedures, and early childhood education principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team whilst demonstrating initiative independently.
- Organised with good time management skills to balance planning and hands\-on care duties.
- Flexibility to adapt activities based on children's needs and interests.
